Our Experience
We have developed more than 100 modules on a range of topics (e.g., vaccine hesitancy, electronic health records, communication, disease prevention, disease management, product knowledge, calibration training, compliance training).

Youth Homelessness (2025)
To share best practice and improve support for youth experiencing homelessness, the YWCA commissioned this elearning program. Here, providers learn about the breadth of the issue and how to support the social and emotional wellness of youth while also addressing issues around race, equity, diversity and inclusion.

Adult Dental Health Survey (2023)
This tool was commissioned by the UK’s Office for Health Improvement & Disparities and the National Centre for Social Research to support dental examiners as they conducted the UK’s Adult Oral Health Survey. The online tool allows examiners to quickly determine which of 65 codes to use when examining adult’s oral cavities as part of the survey.

Anatomy and Physiology (2021)
This 10-module series uses custom illustrations to educate staff new to healthcare about anatomy and physiology. It allows users to interact with the human body and explore functionality. After its successful English delivery, it was translated into 10 languages for global use. Client name withheld for confidentiality.

Biomedical Clinical Cases (2014-2017)
This 60-hour elearning program, built for Healthcare Learning, was developed to help dental students better understand the real-life application of basic sciences in a dental clinic. I constructed the case-based approach used within the series, wrote several modules and managed the development of all of the remaining modules.

ICDAS Epi Tool (2010-2015)
If you're a dentist in epidemiology, this one is pretty cool. This app supports research on caries prevalence using the International Caries Detection and Assessment System. Clinicians examine patients and record their findings. Within the app are graphical reports of the data, which is also securely transmitted and stored on a cloud so aggregated data can be collected and analysed. I conceptualized the functionality, user experience, and ensured it was fit for purpose.

Electronic Health Records
(2023 – in development)
This 10 module series targets healthcare professionals at varying career levels to guide them in using their EHR effectively. The series is EHR agnostic and focuses on how best to capture and retrieve data. Seasoned doctors are shown how to document to reduce care delivery variations and to ensure performance measures are achieved.

Vaccine Hesitancy (2022-2024)
Patient uptake of vaccines is strongly correlated with a recommendation from a healthcare provider. In this series, healthcare providers are taught how to discuss vaccines with patients to increase the likelihood of vaccination against Flu, COVID-19, and HPV. Originally designed for adult vaccinations, the series was later amended to reflect pediatric use and to include MMR. These modules were delivered to more than 500 providers on our learning management system. Client name withheld for confidentiality.

Periodontal Examination (2020)
This example shows a 5-minute animation showing how to conduct a full periodontal examination. A probe is moved around the mouth and scores recorded as the narrator explains key points in the process.
This process was animated instead of filmed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The client preferred animation result (as did we).

NHS Dental Portfolio System (2010-2017)
This large-scale web system allows remote supervision of newly qualified dentists in the UK as they work through their first year of foundation training post qualification. It supports more than six user types within a hierarchy and provides reports on progress and clinical experience. I conceived the structure with functional specifications and wireframes for the first and second incarnation of the system. It is currently in use and has been well received.
